Who do you count as family?

We all need the support of loved ones when recovering from a serious illness, after an accident or when welcoming a new child. But millions of people are forced to choose between caring for family and keeping their jobs, because of paid leave policies based on a narrow definition of family.

Through the This Is My Family campaign, we hope to share personal stories of people who have received or provided care for loved ones who are not “nuclear” family members like a parent, child, or spouse. We’re grateful for your interest in sharing your experience.
